The Sustainable Fashion Prize challenges the next generation of fashion designers to create one original outfit that represents their personal design aesthetic and highlights their commitment to sustainable fashion. Unpack the creative processes, innovative use of materials and imaginative development of ideas of the 20 Australian and international finalists in We the Makers.
This educator-led introduction to the exhibition will engage students in an examination of a choice of finalist’s ideas, influences, materials and techniques.
Learning Objectives
- Analyse and discuss different forms of expression, ideas and perspectives of three finalists using one of the Interpretive Lenses
- Discuss how one of the finalists use materials, techniques, technologies and processes to realise their intentions in their work
