Learn how to weave with raffia and emu feathers to create earrings and a beautiful necklace with Jasmine-Skye, proud Arrernte woman.

This workshop will teach you the basics to weave coils, making twine and emu feather tassels. Learn how natural raffia is used in modern Aboriginal basket weaving.

About Jasmine-Skye Marinos

Jasmine-Skye is a finalist for the We the Makers Sustainable Fashion Prize 2023 and winner of the National Wool Museum Scarf Festival 2018.

Jasmine-Skye is a proud Arrernte woman and has been living on Wadawurrung country for over 10 years. Jasmine-Skye takes inspiration from her mob and the local Wadawurrung community for her designs.
