Join the leather painting workshop with local artist and designer Emily Rastas, where you’ll learn to prepare, paint, and properly finish existing quality leather garments.

Emily will guide you through the process, providing tips and techniques for achieving stunning results with leather paints. Bring your own bag to paint, and you’ll see just how versatile this process can be – it can be used on shoes, clothing, belts and more.

About Emily Rastas

Emily Rastas is a Finnish-Australian artist and designer currently working and living in Geelong. She is one of 20 finalists in We the Makers Sustainable Fashion Prize 2023. She works predominantly in the realms of painting, wearable art, sculpture, apparel, and installation. Emily is passionate about sustainability and slow fashion, her brand Emipeli Design sells her upcycled clothing range, hand painted shoes and boots, and unique accessories made from discarded fabric waste.
