Josephine Rout, curator of We the Makers Sustainable Fashion Prize 2023, presents an introduction to the exhibition, exploring key themes and diverse perspectives on what defines sustainable fashion.

Every two years the Museum is showcasing emerging themes from the world of sustainable fibre and textiles through the next generation of fashion designers.

This year, we are presenting the work of 20 emerging Australian and international fashion designers who have a commitment to sustainable fashion and innovative design

Learn about the finalist’s ethical practice, design ingenuity, material consciousness, circular process, design and business innovation.

Aligned with the Geelong UNESCO City of Design designation, We the Makers Sustainable Fashion Prize 2023 champions the future of design and Geelong’s ongoing role in the wool, fibre and textile industries.
